1 Grid Box = 1km. 1mm = 50 metres

Timing Estimation:
1km per 12 mins approx. 1 min per uphill contour crossed

  2. A Kissu is a large piece of fabric, usually orange, which a group of hikers can huddle into pull over themselves to keep warm and protected from the elements. Highly useful in an emergency, or even when stopping for lunch!
