I had an amazing weekend on the Yoga/Adventure break organised by Outdoors Ireland. All the activities were suited for beginners and I enjoyed every single one of them; kayaking, yoga, hillwalking, cycling but most especially the yummy picnic lunches! Thanks Nathan, Bridgit and Daniel for taking such good care of us, I always felt completely safe and well looked after in the hands of professionals. The best thing was having the whole trip organised, all we had to do was turn up and have a great time! I will most definitely be coming back again! Thanks so much :)

  3. “From the moment we set out in the pitch black of night, I felt completely at ease under the capable guiding of Nathan and his team of guides. We had a safety briefing before we set out and the team continuously gave us tips and advice on how to manage the different sections of the climb. The pace was relaxed and we stopped at different spots to hear some local folklore and to allow the group to catch up (and be counted) so it was a very enjoyable climb. Unfortunately the weather on the didn’t allow for any views until we were coming down off the Zig Zags, but this didn’t dampen any of the group’s spirits – everyone was in great form all the way which showed how well the trip was organised. The breakfast in Scott’s Hotel was great too! I’d definitely recommend it – thanks Nathan and all the other guides too!”

  6. Hi Nathan,
Thanks for a great day on the lakes learning to Kayak . No better way to spend a rainy day in Killarney. The Equipement kept us really dry and warm even though some of the group spent more time in the lake than the Kayak . But lead to a very good laugh in the pub afterwards. See you again on another of your activities.

  8. I dont think that any of our group had really thought about what was involved in doing a night hike which was just aswell that Nathan and the team had!! Hiking Carantoohill at night time has to be one of the best things that I have done this year it was truly brilliant. Nathan and the guys made it possible for us to enjoy and relax the experience of being out in the hills under the cover of darkness, with changing weather conditions and to completly just enjoy the experience. It is always nice to see things from a new Perspective and night time on Carrantoohill was that and was amazing! Thanks Nathan

  9. Nathan,
    Coman Coyle here!!
Just wanted to thank you for 4 days of sheer adventure! Our group
really enjoyed the trip with Outdoors Ireland. Activities such as
kayaking, rock climbing, absailing were really enjoyable and I felt
very safe completing all the tasks as the instructions given to me
were really easy. I found you to be a true professional and brilliant
at your job! Thanks also to your team at outdoors Ireland - Fergal and
Daniel with whom we had direct dealings with. Being a novice at most
of the above I was delighted at how easy the activities were. I must
admit climbing up carrantoohill successfully was a personal
achievement for me and one which I will never forget.

Our stay at the Randles Court Hotel was sheer bliss. The rooms, the
staff, the food and the bars were absolutely perfect. The staff there
    were very professional.

As for discoverireland.ie, I will definately be googling this website
again!! It is great to know that such great holidays are available in
Ireland and my friends and myself will be definately promoting these
sort of breaks to others in the future,

Once again thank you for everything and I would definately be
interested in partaking in other adventures with you in the not too
    distant future,
    Regards,
    Coman Coyle

  10. Nathan,
Just like to thank you for the fabulous adventures we had over our 4 days in Killarney. The kayaking, the rock climbing and the absailing were very enjoyable and as a novice attempting these activities I must give you credit for the simple, easy to follow instructions given by you and your team. I must admit I felt very safe and comfortable trying all these activities once explained by you at outdoors ireland.

The highlight of our trip was a guided climb by nathan up carrantoohill and reaching the summit was a personal achievement for me and one which I will never forget. I also enjoyed the folklore and points of interest on the way!! Thank you to Daniel, Fergal and Nathan from Outdoors Ireland and if anyone is seeking some exercise and adventure over a weekend I would send them your way!!!

Our stay at the Randles Court Hotel was a wonderful experience. The Hotel was lovely as was the accomodation, food and the spa and leisure centre. The staff were very professional and friendly.

For anyone interested in travelling and discovering Ireland I would strongly recommend a visit to discoverireland.ie as there are lots of interesting breaks to take in Ireland.

Water Aid's 6 Peaks Challenge relies on Outdoors Ireland for safety cover when their walkers climb The Devil's Ladder and Corran Tuathail. We are always impressed by the professionalism, enthusiasm and attention to detail shown by Nathan and his staff. We couldn't do it without them and they make a significant contribution to our event's excellent safety record.

  14. Rock climbing is something which we have dreamed of doing for such a long time. Moving to Ireland we asked around on climbing forums and asked the question - " Who is the best person to learn to climb from" the same name kept coming back again and again Nathan Kingerlee @ Outdoors Ireland.
So we contacted him and arranged to go Rock Climbing at the Gap Of Dunloe with his team from Outdoors. What can we say about the lessons- we had a total blast! The rain and the wind did little to dampen our spirits. The climbs which we did were amazing, our instructor Tygh was wonderful - anyone who is patient enough to show me knots again and again and again deserves a special mention. His enthusiasm was wonderful and highly contagious.
We loved rock climbing, we have totally been hit with the climbing bug and we cant wait to be able to book up another course with the Outdoors team, all the experts were right the Outdoors team is THE best!

  15. Hi Nathan!
I remember very well the weekend in May when I completed Mountain Skill course I with you in the Wicklow Mountains.
I expected sun and fun! The fun came, the sun was badly missed!! It was raining cats and dogs especially during our two 5hrs walks.

Nevertheless you lead the whole group through the course ,over the rainy hills and the Irish muck, teaching us in a quiet and professional manner. Covered with rainjacket and poncho I learnt a lot about map reading(a waterproof map is absolutely recommended),contour features ,navigation techniques, timing and pacing.

Though I moved only a short while ago to Ireland and I'm not yet used to the weather I enjoyed this course with you and I can recommend you and your team to everybody who is interested in hillwalking.
I even started my Mountain Skill log book and I'm looking forward to Mounain Skill II! See you then. All the best

It has been 2 weeks since our wonderful 4-daytrip to Killarney. It was truly an experience and one which we thoroughly enjoyed. The first afternoon set the trend with us combating torrential Killarney weather to explore the Lakes around Ross Castle on a kayak. Thanks to Outdoors Ireland and in particular you for your encouragement and expert tuition throughout – you even made the capsize enjoyable!
Memories of the day spent trekking up Carrantuohill will remain with me for all time. You expertly guided us safely up and down Ireland’s peak setting a good pace interspersed with great stories and wonderful scenery. The view at the summit was awesome.
Rock climbing and abseiling near the Gap of Dunloe was challenging but thrilling. For a complete novice, your clear instructions and relaxed methods made me feel comfortable and safe from the outset. I would definitely do it again. Thanks also to your support team especially Dan and Fergal.
During our trip to Killarney we stayed at the Randles Court Hotel and would recommend it highly. The location is superb, only a short walk to the centre of lovely Killarney and the facilities are excellent. After our adventures with Outdoors Ireland visits to the spa, leisure centre and of course the bar were heavenly!
All in all four fun-filled and adventure packed days and nights in one of the most beautiful locations in the world. Holiday breaks in Ireland rank with anything else on offer in other Countries despite the rain! Just log on to DiscoverIreland.ie to see the great variety and value on offer.

    Thanks again,

thanks to Outdoors Ireland for a fabulous 4 day break in Killarney.
I enjoyed every moment of it especially climbing Carrantuohill which was a thoroughly enjoyable experience and one which I thought I would never do! You made the climb both interesting and enjoyable and I felt safe at all times under your expert guidance. I will never forget reaching the summit and enjoying the breathtaking views.
Staying at the Randles Court hotel was a thoroughly enjoying and relaxing experience. I would highly recommend it to anybody. The full body massage after climbing Carrantuohill was very soothing and much needed!
Thanks again for a fantastic adventure.
