I liked the hiking equipment list. Would like to chip in some thoughts around the clothing for hill walking / mountain hiking that I would use. I have a wicking base layer (not made from cotton which traps moisture and goes cold against your body), a windbloc hiking fleece and a 3 to 4 season gore-tex (waterproof & windproof) coat. These three layers combine up to protect your uppper half in all weather and with gore-tex overtrousers, mitts and a hat you'll be toasty and dry.
ReplyDeleteCheers,
John.
Cheers John, thanks for elaborating on the layers, good points.
